I can log using x11 (Wayland even pass the login screen), but no windows borders or commands work (i only can reboot using `sudo reboot`). when calling `kwin_x11 --replace` (or any kwin_x11 or kwin_wayland command), it says a missing symbol or something on `/lib/x86_*/libkwin.so.6` [21:47] (using kubuntu's kde) [23:40] guys, just to 24.10. but the kwin is breaking. I can log using x11 (Wayland even pass the login screen), but no windows borders or commands work (i only can reboot using `sudo reboot`). when calling (or any kwin_x11 or kwin_wayland command), it says a missing symbol or something on [23:40] (I was disconnected) [23:42] on `/lib/x86_*/libkwin.so.6` [23:42] when you re-sent your line, the second time you were cut off at 'something on' [23:42] .. which made me wonder if that was also the natural end of your line the first time you sent it, or if there was more to that message, too [23:42] yep. thanks @sarnold [23:42] which symbol exactly you're missing will help you decide which library needs to be installed [23:44] hmmm So it might be a package that was not installed during upgrade? [23:45] btw: at the beginning of the message, it was `do-release-upgrade -d` [23:48] I suppose I have to reboot to photograph the full error message then. be right back
