jeromeHi, I have met a bug about bluetooth. I have reported in launchpad. Have you met this? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/208399505:20
-ubottu:#kubuntu- Launchpad bug 2083995 in bluez (Ubuntu) "Bluetooth can neither find new device, nor be connected by paired device" [Undecided, New]05:20
myrtihey, is anyone around? I updated my packages yesterday (kubuntu 24.04) and now I can now longer open kdialog windows (save, save as, open file) in vscode. Is there an easy way to find out what the previous version of kdialog is and to role it back?08:02
RikMillsmyrti: kdialog has not changed version in 24.04 since 24.04 was released08:04
myrtihm ok. Is there a way I can see what I installed with the last update. It's definitely kdialog using up 100% of CPU and processing08:04
myrtiand crashing after about 5min of trying to open the dialogue windows08:05
RikMillslogs in /var/log/apt/ should show what was installed08:06

BluesKajHi all12:22
iomari891greetings, where can I get a list of what's scheduled new in kubuntu 24.10?13:00
guiverciomari891, did you look at the Kubuntu 24.10 release notes ; they've been viewable for awhile now (just like Ubuntu's too; of course they're subject to change anytime before official release...)13:04
guiverceg.  ubuntu oracular oriole's release notes will send you to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/OracularOriole/Beta/Kubuntu to view Kubuntu  (that was available at the BETA release you'll note)13:05
guiverc(for changes, contrasting the oracular seed with noble would be one way; for ISO differences contrasting manifest of noble vs oracular too...  but that's generic methods that can be done anytime to view progress...)13:07

weedmicpls provide link to install proprietary nvidia drivers correctly - i have an nvidia 4070ti.  what I just tried did not work and am now reinstalling 24.04.1 again.17:32
weedmiccli preferred17:32
weedmicwhat is kubuntu's equivalent of "software and updates"?  https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2024/05/install-nvidia-ubuntu-2404/17:41
geniiweedmic: I would suggest add this PPA https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa with: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa then: sudo apt update17:51
weedmicty17:52
geniiweedmic: The best driver for 4070ti according to my preliminary searching seems to be 535, so then it would be: sudo apt install nvidia-graphics-drivers-53517:53
genii...aaaand they're gone17:53
