[18:37] <zxmpi> playing with an ancient palmos device i bought. probably going to use it to replace my nokia 3310 now that they've turned off the 3g network :-(

[20:15] <zxmpi> it does, still works for voice and sms, but no internet anymore. so no browser, rss which were dead handy on it.
[20:16] <zxmpi> the newer 4g dumb phones by nokia are better but don't do java apps so i lose my ereader, memopad, spreadsheet and games
[20:17] <zxmpi> it just irks me that a 7 year old phone is less useful now that they've turned off 3g network
[20:17] <zxmpi> but other wise a perfect phone for me

[20:18] <zxmpi> could use it for 2 days and not have to think about batterylife which is not bad for a 7 year old phone. can't do that with an android or ios device :-)
[20:19] <zxmpi> and no matter how many times i dropped it, it wouldn't break or scratch
[20:22] <zxmpi> so found an old m105 palmos device. it should run for a week plus on batteries. do a lot of the things i used my 3310 for. barring the fm radio, internet, tv shows... :-)
