[14:31] <asomerset> turns out LSI raid cards basically build native linux software raid volumes - mounted drives in an alternative chassis, expecting to have to format and start again but ubuntu auto detected and started resyncing the arrays no data loss on the data volumes
[14:32] <asomerset> slow but hey at least not re syncing 100TB of data while awaiting actual new replacement hardware 
[14:33] <asomerset> not sure if the DNS records will automatically be swung back to us or if someone needs to push the button
