=== Lord_of_Life_ is now known as Lord_of_Life [12:37] Hi all [15:28] Hello [15:29] I Just installed the system on a encrypted drive, but it says no key for this passphrase, cryptsetup failed [15:29] The password is indeed right [15:31] Why I can't login in a fresh Installed system? [17:17] I have a problem with kup-backup (kubuntu 24.10) which doesn't show in kde systemsettings anymore. (seems to be this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kup-backup/+bug/2085110) shall i wait for an update or is there a way to fix this without messing up my system much? [17:17] -ubottu:#kubuntu- Launchpad bug 2085110 in kup-backup (Ubuntu Oracular) "Kup-backup is missing from System Settings in Plasma 6" [High, In Progress] [17:26] soundscout, it should be fixed https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482015 but not published yet [17:26] -ubottu:#kubuntu- KDE bug 482015 in kup "Kup system tray icon and settings module missing on Plasma 6" [Normal, Resolved: Fixed] [17:28] it seems to create a weird home folder https://www.kubuntuforums.net/forum/currently-supported-releases/kubuntu-24-10-oracular-oriole/post-installation-az/682955-kubuntu-24-04-to-24-10-upgrade-module-org-kde-plasma-components-2-0-not-installed [17:32] soundscout: a version that sould work in 24.10 is in out backports PPA currently ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports [17:32] ah thanks RikMills [17:39] RikMills: thank you :) [20:13] Hopefully an easy question..   I'm familiar with Ubuntu and have just booted a Kubuntu system for the first time, and the most frustrating thing I've found so far is the lack of a keyboard shortcut to get to the " / " root folder in Dolphin [20:13] In ubuntu if I typed / it navigates to the root folder, is there something similar here I'm missing? [20:15] New2Kubuntu: you can always simply type ----> Ctrl+l <--- to get to the location bar, then type ---> / [20:15] New2Kubuntu: that said, you can always also make a bookmark to it and simply click the bookmark :) [20:16] I like to use my keyboard to navigate as much as possible when doing a bunch of file management type stuff, so ctrl+l will work beautifully!  Thank you! [20:16] or just add the location for "/" to Places [20:18] New2Kubuntu: mind you that I use Konqueror as fiile manager, konqueror can do many views, that is a view or namely a pane, in essence, you can open a tab, and open 5 or 6 view or more, and load a different folder in each, and perform operations on all, while looking at all folders at once, you can also use the ctrl+l and "/" too
