[18:17] hiHi [18:17] Anyone there? [18:21] [22:04] Hi Xubuntu Team :) [22:04] I have installed Xubuntu 24.04 and I like it. Thank you! [22:04] However, I faced a bug in the installer when installing Xubuntu: I used the installer in German and selected manual formatting and wanted to keep my old "/home" partition. However, I could not see the "format yes/no" column in the overview of the disk partition window nor could I scroll in the window or change the size of the window. [22:04] Finally, I had to use the installer in English to see the column, remember all necessary settings and then re-do the installer in German "blind". [22:04] How can this bug be solved? [22:07] Roman: this may be a localization issue. german words are often longer than english ones, so maybe this caused something to move off-screen. you could file a bug, upload a screenshot or two and discuss what you think would be best to fix it. [22:07] !bug | Roman [22:07] Roman: If you find a bug in Ubuntu or any of its official !flavors, please report it using the command « ubuntu-bug » - See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs for other ways to report bugs. [22:08] (filing bugs requires you to set up an ubuntu/launchpad account once, but it's quick.) [22:21] I have a launchpad accound already (back from ubuntu phone days, long time passed ...) [22:21] Yes, it definetively is a localization issue. In English, I could see all columns. [22:21] The problem is now: the bug is in the installer, so now Xubuntu is installed and I cannot see the problem anymore. [22:21] And when I boot Xubuntu from live medium, I can take a photograph of my screen but then I boot to Xubuntu and I don't know the package name of the installer, right? [22:30] tomreyn and ubottu thank you for your help. [22:30] I filed the bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2089462 [22:30] -ubottu:#xubuntu- Launchpad bug 2089462 in Ubuntu "Xubuntu installer in German localization does not show all columns in partition window" [Undecided, New]
