[18:58] <calwig> I have been updating Kubuntu from 20.04 to 24.04 successfully. Recently as of about 10 days ago, there are some updates that do not even require a password, and seem to be system or firmware related.
[18:59] <calwig> Someting happened where my BATTERY indicator no longer displays after the power has been disconnected on the laptop. Is there a method or selection to put back the battery indicator on the taskbar?
[19:02] <calwig> sometimes, i have to restart Kubuntu and the BATT indicator does display when the power cable is disconnected.
[19:02] <calwig> But as of yesterday and this morning, I can no longer see the remaining battery.
