kathrin_Hi, I'm on a fresh install of 24.10 with two screens. They're both 16:9 ratio but have different resolution. The size of the two screen doesn't sync up, so I can not seamlessly switch between one screen and the other. A video of what I mean is linked here; https://imgur.com/tO5xMRa10:57
kathrin_is there a way to change it so that the two screens height matches 1:1 without changing the resolution of the two screens? I can scale the external screen to about 140% and get them to be same size, but then the fonts are gigantic10:58
kathrin_and that was the wrong link, this would be the video: https://imgur.com/G6udEM810:59
BluesKajHi all13:16
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> Hi folks im trying to look for specific txt file on Kubuntu's Github which has list of packages installed. Could someone help me?13:38
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> What do you mean exactly? Do you mean a list of very single package installed on the ISO? Or do you mean a top level list of packages we want installed on the ISO (our seed), which obviously then gets expanded on when their dependencies are resolved? And for what release? (re @plutorocks: Hi folks im trying to look for specific txt file on Kubuntu's Github which has list of packages installed. Could someone help me?)13:43
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> list of every single pkgs installed on kubuntu's iso (re @RikMills: What do you mean exactly? Do you mean a list of very single package installed on the ISO? Or do you mean a top level list of packages we want installed on the ISO (our seed), which obviously then gets expanded on when their dependencies are resolved? And for what release?)13:44
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> What release? (re @plutorocks: list of every single pkgs installed on kubuntu's iso)13:44
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> any release13:44
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> Well for noble there is: https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/releases/24.04.1/release/ (re @plutorocks: any release)13:45
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> The list of files on the iso is in the .manifest file13:46
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> Other releases will have there own .manifest13:46
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> okay something like this from kubuntu https://github.com/endeavouros-team/EndeavourOS-packages-lists/blob/master/kde13:48
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> but obviously I need for both base packages and plasma packages along13:49
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> ok, so something like our seed then13:49
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> yep13:50
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> Like: https://git.launchpad.net/~kubuntu-dev/ubuntu-seeds/+git/kubuntu/tree/desktop?h=noble13:50
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> * packagename means a dependency of our kubuntu-desktop metapackage13:52
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> * (packagename) mean a recommends of our kubuntu-desktop metapackage13:52
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> * packagename means a dependency of our kubuntu-desktop metapackage13:52
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> * (packagename) means a recommends of our kubuntu-desktop metapackage13:52
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> when the ISO is built a programme/script called 'germinate' takes that seed list, resolves dependencies, and makes the full list of what to install13:54
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> i.e. what ends on in that .manifest (more or less)13:55
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> i.e. what ends up in that .manifest (more or less)13:55
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> also you know how good Ubuntu base is because it have good set of firmware, alsa installed? Where can I find it's list as well?13:56
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> On of the seeds here I geuss: https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu-seeds/+git/13:59
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> One of the seeds here I guess: https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu-seeds/+git/13:59
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> maybe https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu-seeds/+git/platform/tree/desktop-common?h=noble14:00
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> on Kubuntu did you use this same base packages? (re @RikMills: maybe https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu-seeds/+git/platform/tree/desktop-common?h=noble)14:02
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> Yes, it is says in our seed "Task-Seeds: desktop-common" (re @plutorocks: on Kubuntu did you use this same base packages?)14:04
IrcsomeBot<RikMills> i.e. our list on top of everything in desktop-common14:04
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> alrighty14:05
IrcsomeBot<plutorocks> I'd be honest with you. Debian is half baked but I'm trying to solve by installing what Kubuntu's team does.14:06
