=== BODpc_ is now known as BODpc [17:51] This is probably a really silly question, but I've noticed that PPAs are *very* slow compared to the main archive. I can download at almost 10 MiB/s (just about the limit of my connection's bandwidth) from the archive, but PPAs seem to go at less than 500 KiB/s. I'm sure this is to be expected since PPAs aren't mirrored and probably aren't given as highly prioritized traffic, but this is slow [17:52] enough to cause some serious delays in my work. Is this just expectedb behavior, or is it possible this is something that could be sped up a bit? [19:48] is there something wrong with the publisher? lubuntu-default-settings 25.04.11 built correctly an hour ago but it's still not published [19:53] wxl: It's very slow (and single-threaded, no reason in 2025 it can't be multi-threaded but that's a different story). I uploaded ubuntustudio-meta yesterday and it took 5 hours to migrate and publish. [20:23] Eickmeyer: thanks. finally went through. [20:43] oh jeez now it's the weird thing where launchpad says it's published but apt can't find it [21:01] wxl: There's a certain degree of latency between when Launchpad said something is status="Published" and the actual processing and publishing of the "real" archive. [21:02] I've been monitoring it over the last few weeks on and off; the typical latency is 60-90 minutes, or so. That's about what it's been for a while. [21:02] With the test rebuilds and the massive amount of publishing required for that, over the last day, it's peaked to 6ish hours of latency, twice. [21:03] Right now it's about 2.5 hours, which isn't terrible, but isn't great. [21:51] okie dokie
