| mneptok | Is there no way in the 25.04 installer for a user to create their own encrypted partitions? If I want encryption, the only choice seems to be full disk LUKS encryption. And when I select that I get 8GB of swap on a laptop with 32GB physical RAM. So ... no hibernation for Ubuntu users that want encryption. | 17:35 |

| sarnold | mneptok: *maybe* the ZFS route would get you per-user encrypted storage? I set up my zfs stuff before it was supported in the installer, andit's possible that it was taken back out of the installer for 25.04 .. | 23:40 |
| sarnold | mneptok: this is probably the most promising way to get to the feature you want https://github.com/google/fscrypt -- I can't recall now why momentum behind this thing stalled :( | 23:42 |
