I wanted to install full ubuntu on my usb. So for that I obtained two usb. In usb 1 I have installed live ubuntu and booted my computer from it. After that I have opened LTS installer and installed full ubuntu on my second usb drive by creating two partitions, one of it as root partiton(the major one) and the second one is the swap partition. [10:55] So I have finished full ubuntu installation on my usb drive. After that I closed live ubuntu and I directly opened boot menu without booting from my Hdd. At there I was able to see my second usb, so I have booted my full ubuntu from there. I did my all jobs in full ubuntu and then I have switched to windows. Howewer when I come to the boot menu [10:55] again I was not be able to see my full ubuntu installed usb [10:56] Good morning! [10:56] oops, wrong window. But good morning anyway! [11:00] Guest18: you may need to select the correct boot device from your BIOS [11:00] usually there is a key or that during the boot process [11:00] but its not always the same. on my device it is F11 [11:01] The problem is, I opened boot menu but it sees my full ubuntu for one time [11:02] Then it doesn't see at all in bios boot order [11:11] Sorry I lost connection [11:12] Do you guys have any Idea on how can I solve this full ubuntu problem [11:14] just a thought - but have you enabled legacy in bios [11:16] Thats the point, I dont know how to enable it [11:16] what machine do you have - ill go look it up [11:17] Gpt also says enable it but I was not be able to find any settings in boot menu about it [11:17] Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 [11:17] model # [11:17] Got it, I will look [11:18] Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15IHU6 [11:19] give me a few mins [11:21] Ok I will wait for you [11:23] Hi all [11:25] Guest18: do you know what the "novo button" is? it may be a red button above your keayboard. [21:01] hi I have a question [21:12] I have a weird issue in an lxc container with ubuntu 25.04... wg-quick segfaults, but running it via bash doesn't. running strace wg-quick just prints execve("/usr/bin/wg-quick", ["wg-quick"], 0x7ffe1c8d06b0 /* 15 vars */) = -1 EACCES (Permission denied) [21:13] it works fine outside the lxc container (also in 25.04), and also if I run it via bash [21:15] (I had an other weird issue in lxc with firefox not resolving any names and generally not working, while konqueror worked just fine. Solved that by using 25.04 instead of 24.04 inside the container). [21:15] both these issues are after updating my system from 24.10 to 25.04. I'm new here. New to linux and ubuntu. My framework laptop has Ubuntu and my system keeps crashing on start-up. 9 out of 10 times it gives a spinning start up wheel, then just a black screen with a mouse, Nothing else. I can hit ctrl alt f2 to get a log in prompt but it says my log in is invalid. 1 out of 10 times everything loads properly [23:03] and i can use my laptop. Any ideas?
